The battle escalated when the unit discovered a substantial underground shaft, which the terrorists used to set up an explosive-laden ambush.

IDF Captures Southern Gaza City, Drives Hamas out of Shuja’iyya

Hours after the 99th Division finished its operations in Gaza City’s southern region and started to extend its operations to the central Strip, the Israeli military announced on Thursday night that the 36th Division of the IDF had successfully dismantled Hamas terror capabilities in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood of Gaza City.

Hundreds of terrorists were killed during the 99th Division operations, and Israeli forces found and confiscated weapons concealed in children’s dolls. According to the IDF, the Division comprises reserve artillery, paratroopers, and commando personnel.

IDF Finds Weapons In A School

The IDF further said that its ground forces in Jabalya had discovered a weapons stash concealed inside a school. After the civilian population was safely evacuated from a school complex to the south, Israeli soldiers searched and discovered the weapons.

According to the military, a launcher in Khan Yunis that was firing rockets towards Israel was destroyed. In addition, the Israeli Navy engaged in overnight combat with Hamas-related ships.

IDF’s Operations In Jabalya

Earlier this week, the IDF announced that it had successfully dismantled Hamas’s three battalions of terror forces in the Jabalya area of northern Gaza, killing over 1,000 Hamas soldiers and apprehending 500 terrorists. In addition, it took 3,000 civilians connected to Hamas into custody.

Meanwhile, the 179th and 646th Brigades carried out operations in southern Gaza, eliminating terrorists. Along with armaments like explosives and rocket launchers, the troops of these battalions also found motorcycles belonging to Hamas.

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump’s Solidarity Visit

Former senior advisers to ex-President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, arrived in Israel for a solidarity visit, marking a gesture of support during the nation’s challenging times. Their tour of Kibbutz Kfar Aza, one of the many towns affected during Hamas’s October 7 onslaught, was guided by Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana.

During their visit, the couple also viewed footage compiled by the IDF from the attacks, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges faced by residents in this region.
