According to the military spokesperson, Jordanian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 10 of the missiles, while the remaining three fell in remote areas away from population centers. No injuries or fatalities were reported. Specialized teams were deployed to secure the impact sites, and authorities urged the public not to approach or handle any unidentified missile debris.
Iran launched a new missile and drone retaliation Tuesday night following fresh US strikes inside Iran, with Iranian sources saying American military bases in Jordan were among the targets.
Ynet reported that Iran fired missiles at US bases in Jordan as part of what Tehran described as a “decisive” retaliation.
Blasts were also heard in Eilat, while residents across the border in Jordan received shelter alerts warning of the possibility of falling missile debris.

The reports mark a new escalation between Iran and the United States only a day after another Iranian attack on US linked military sites in Jordan.
Iranian semi official media including Fars and Tasnim announced Tuesday night that missile and drone operations had begun in response to the latest American strikes. The Associated Press also confirmed that Iranian media had announced the start of the retaliation, although its initial reporting did not specify the targets.
Ynet subsequently reported that the Iranian operation included missiles fired toward US bases in Jordan. Its English language homepage said blasts were heard in Eilat as Jordanians received shelter alerts over possible falling debris.
The explosions heard in Eilat do not currently appear to represent an attack on Israel.
No casualties or missile impacts in Israel have been reported in connection with the latest wave.
It was not immediately clear which American bases Iran was targeting Tuesday night, whether Jordanian air defenses intercepted the incoming missiles, or whether any missiles reached their intended targets.
There was also no immediate public confirmation from CENTCOM, the Pentagon or the Jordanian Armed Forces detailing the results of the attack.
The latest exchange follows a separate Iranian attack on US related sites in Jordan over the weekend. Iran said it targeted the King Hussein and Al Azraq air bases, while Jordan said incoming missiles were intercepted.
The United States launched another round of strikes inside Iran on Tuesday. CENTCOM said the operation followed recent attempted IRGC attacks against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and American personnel in the region.
Iranian media then announced the latest retaliatory operation.
The situation remains fluid, with confirmation still needed on the specific Jordanian targets, interceptions, damage and possible casualties.
