Israeli forces carried out strikes and military operations across Gaza, Lebanon and Judea and Samaria over the past 24 hours, while Israeli tanks and artillery were also reported active inside southern Syria.
The heaviest activity was reported in southern Lebanon, where Israeli forces carried out airstrikes, drone strikes, artillery fire and large demolitions across several districts on Monday.
Heavy Israeli activity across southern Lebanon
Lebanese reports documented at least 18 separate Israeli military actions or demolition events across southern Lebanon, although not all could be independently verified.
Among the most significant was a series of powerful explosions between Qantara and Taybeh that caused part of Al Qantara mountain to collapse. Lebanese media reported that Israel had destroyed a Hezbollah tunnel, although no Israeli confirmation of that claim was found.
Israeli strikes and shelling were also reported around Kfar Remman, Mansouri, Zawtar al Sharqiyeh, Qantara and several other communities.
No deaths were reported from the airstrikes or artillery attacks themselves.
A Lebanese teenager, Mohammad Ali Ibrahim, was killed separately when an unexploded Israeli munition left from previous fighting detonated in Habboush, according to Lebanese reports.
No Hezbollah rocket, drone or anti tank missile attacks against Israel were identified during the same 24 hour period.
The IDF did not issue a public statement detailing the reported operations in Lebanon during the period covered by the research.
Five killed in Gaza strikes
In Gaza, five Palestinians were reported killed in two Israeli strikes in Gaza City.
Two people were killed when an Israeli drone struck near the municipal park. The IDF later said it had targeted Amr Mohammed Rushdi Sarraj, whom it identified as a commander responsible for supply and maintenance operations within Hamas in Gaza City.
According to the IDF, Sarraj managed weapons supplies for Hamas operatives and was killed alongside another Hamas military wing operative.
The military said the two had recently worked to advance attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops and to rebuild Hamas capabilities.
Later Monday, another Israeli strike hit a vehicle in the Tel al Hawa neighborhood, killing three people, according to Palestinian medical officials.
Israel said the day’s strikes targeted Hamas operatives, although no detailed IDF statement identifying the target of the Tel al Hawa strike was located.
Israeli naval and drone fire was also reported off the Gaza City coast, where Palestinian sources said five fishermen were wounded.
No Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad attack against Israeli troops was identified during the same 24 hour period, and no Israeli casualties were reported.
Raids and demolitions in Judea and Samaria
Israeli forces also conducted widespread operations across Judea and Samaria, including Nablus, Jenin, Jericho, Ramallah, Hebron and the Jerusalem area.
The most significant armed operation took place in Nablus, where Israeli special forces arrested a 37 year old Palestinian suspected of previous involvement with the Lions’ Den terrorist organization.
Israel Police and the IDF said the operation was based on Shin Bet intelligence and that the suspect had continued attempting to advance terrorist activity and attacks against Israeli civilians.
He was arrested and transferred to the Shin Bet for questioning. No Israeli forces were injured.
Palestinian reports said Israeli forces also opened fire on a vehicle during the operation and that people were injured, but no reliable casualty figure was available.
A separate claim that two Palestinians were killed in Nablus could not be corroborated by Palestinian health authorities, Israeli officials or major news organizations and should be treated as unverified.
Israeli forces also demolished residential buildings in Nablus and Birzeit and carried out raids and arrests in several other areas.
No confirmed Palestinian fatalities or Israeli casualties were identified in Judea and Samaria during the period.
No confirmed Israeli airstrike in Syria
No Israeli airstrike or drone strike inside Syria was identified during the 24 hour period.
There was, however, a report of Israeli ground and artillery activity in southern Syria.
Syria TV, citing the Sijil Center, reported that two Israeli tanks entered the Draiyat barracks area west of Al Muallaqa in the southern Quneitra countryside on Monday.
The same report said three Israeli artillery shells were fired toward the Tal Ahmar area.
No casualties were reported.
The incident has not been independently corroborated and no Israeli statement confirming it was found.
The most recent confirmed Israeli drone strike in Syria before this period occurred on August 22, when Israel struck a vehicle near Beit Jinn. Israel said that operation targeted an operative preparing attacks against Israeli forces.
Four theaters, very different operations
The past 24 hours therefore did not amount to a uniform wave of Israeli airstrikes across four fronts.
Lebanon saw by far the greatest volume of reported Israeli fire and demolitions. Gaza saw two deadly strikes, including an IDF confirmed operation against a Hamas commander. Judea and Samaria saw raids, arrests and demolitions rather than confirmed airstrikes.
And in Syria, no Israeli airstrike was confirmed, although Israeli ground forces and artillery were reported active in Quneitra.
The picture is nevertheless notable: within a single day, Israeli forces were reported operating militarily in Gaza, Lebanon, Judea and Samaria and southern Syria, even as the intensity and purpose of those operations differed considerably from one theater to another.
