Jason Rapert Calls for Prayers Ahead of Israel’s Election

The American Christian leader and former Arkansas state senator urged prayers for Israel’s next leadership, closing with “Am Yisrael Chai” without endorsing a candidate or party.
American Christian leader Jason Rapert has called on his followers to pray ahead of Israel’s election, asking God to guide its outcome for the benefit of Israel and the world.
Rapert, founder and president of the National Association of Christian Lawmakers and an Arkansas state senator from 2011 to 2023, shared the message on X on October 24. Israel’s parliamentary election is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
A prayer for Israel’s leadership
“Please join me in praying for the upcoming election in #Israel 🇮🇱 next week. May God grant victory to those He wants in power in the State of Israel to accomplish His will for Israel and the world. Am Yisrael Chai!” Rapert wrote.

He concluded with “Am Yisrael Chai,” the Hebrew expression meaning “The people of Israel live.”
Rapert tagged Israel News Pulse alongside several other accounts. The post included a photograph of him praying at Jerusalem’s Western Wall and another showing him with a group of men.
A record of support for Israel
Rapert has previously connected his Christian faith with practical support for Israel.
In an April 2025 article published by American Christian Leaders for Israel, he described attending the Israel Bonds Leadership Conference in Dallas the previous month. He wrote that Christians have “both a Biblical mandate and a moral obligation to stand firmly with Israel.”
In that account, Rapert encouraged support for Israel through Israel Bonds and described cooperation between Christian and Jewish communities as an important part of that commitment. His organization also maintains a Committee on America-Israel Relations.
The election prayer brings that same religious commitment to the question of Israel’s next leadership, while making no claim that a particular contender represents God’s choice.

Israel News Pulse joins the call for prayer with this message:
“Thank you, Jason, for your prayers and for standing with Israel. We join you in praying for wise leadership and an election outcome that strengthens Israel’s security, unity and future. Am Yisrael Chai!”
