Video of Children Watching a Tank Animation Spreads With a Ramallah Mall Claim

A 31 second video shows an audience, including children, watching an animation in which a figure with a patterned head covering climbs onto a tank. Posts say it was filmed in a mall in Ramallah, which no source has confirmed.
The clip began circulating on October 16 with captions saying the film glorifies the October 7 massacre. An Israeli forum item that day, citing a report from the Walla news site, described an animated film with scenes of tanks, soldiers and weapons that was screened for children and families at a Ramallah mall. The forum post did not link the Walla article, and Israel News Pulse could not find it.
What the video shows
The audience faces a large screen. The animation is colorful and three dimensional, with a blue sky, palm trees, a Palestinian flag and a figure with a patterned head covering who approaches a tank and climbs onto it. Later the camera pans across a multi level interior with railings.
Children are visible in the audience. Israel News Pulse removed the part of the clip where children’s faces can be seen, and the version embedded here has that section cut.
What the posts claim
The captions say the screening took place in a Ramallah mall and that the film depicts or celebrates October 7. The forum headline said a family outing at a Ramallah mall included an animated film with combat content for children.
A commenter on the same forum said the item had been listed the day before as taking place elsewhere. The forum post gave no film title, mall name or date.
What cannot be confirmed
Israel News Pulse could not identify the film, its producer, its funders or its release date, and could not confirm the venue, the date of the screening or its organizer. No banner in the clip is legible enough to name the event. Whether the animation depicts October 7 is also unconfirmed.
Ramallah does have a cinema, Icon Cinema, on the third floor of Icon Mall on Surda Main Street, according to its official website. Nothing links this video to it, and no statement from a venue, organizer or Palestinian Authority official about this screening has been found.
Why the children are not the story
A video of an audience cannot show what the children or their parents think, who chose the film or why. Israel News Pulse attributes no beliefs to them and does not identify them.
The open questions concern the film and its makers: who produced it, who paid for it and what it depicts. Once its title and credits are found, the story can be reported on that basis.
