Elbit Systems has won a contract worth approximately $235 million to supply a European customer with PULS rocket artillery launchers and EXTRA-MR guided rockets. Announced on October 19, 2026, the award adds another export order for Israeli military technology and includes support for keeping the equipment in service.

The company said the program will run for three years under an agreement between Israel’s Defense Ministry and the purchasing country’s defense ministry. The customer was not named in the announcement. The disclosed package links ammunition, launch equipment and logistics, making its scope broader than a purchase of rockets alone.

A package built around an existing system

The order covers the medium range version of Elbit’s EXTRA rocket, PULS launchers, additional platforms associated with rocket artillery and integrated logistical support. Elbit also published the announcement as an exhibit in its filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, documenting the stated value and implementation period.

PULS is designed to accommodate several types of ammunition on the same launcher. Elbit’s product description identifies two launch pods and says the system can be integrated with existing vehicle platforms. For a customer, the choice of ammunition and vehicle configuration is therefore part of the capability being purchased, rather than an incidental detail.

The 80 kilometer range applies to EXTRA-MR

Elbit puts the range of the EXTRA-MR munition in this contract at up to 80 kilometers. It describes the rocket as compatible with PULS and existing command, control, communications, computing and intelligence systems. That integration is intended to connect the weapon with the wider military network used to receive information and direct operations.

The broader PULS family includes ammunition with different ranges. Elbit lists ACCULAR variants reaching up to 35 or 40 kilometers, standard EXTRA up to 150 kilometers and Predator Hawk up to 300 kilometers. Those figures describe separate munitions. The platform’s maximum advertised reach should not be substituted for the range of the rocket identified in the new order.

Denmark shows how the platform is adapted

The Danish armed forces provide an example of a European customer’s configuration. Their equipment page describes PULS mounted on a Tatra vehicle with a 6x6 chassis. It also explains that the crew operates the launcher from inside the cab, entering information into a computer without having to leave the vehicle to fire.

This official description illustrates how an Israeli launch system becomes part of another army’s equipment structure. It is a specific Danish arrangement, not a disclosed specification for the latest customer. Vehicle selection, ammunition and the systems connecting them all help determine what a procurement program ultimately delivers.

The order follows earlier ammunition business

In April 2025, Elbit announced a separate contract worth approximately $130 million to supply PULS ammunition to a European customer over three years. That package included training rockets, ACCULAR, standard EXTRA and Predator Hawk. The earlier announcement also identified Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark among countries that had selected PULS.

The latest award adds a further example of Israeli suppliers selling an artillery package that includes support alongside hardware. Its significance lies in the combination: a launcher provides the platform, ammunition defines the available reach, and logistics supports continued use. The announced three year program concerns delivery of that capability, rather than equipment already handed over in full.
