The 7th of October Massacres: Investigation Reveals Hamas’ Use of Rape and Sexual Abuse

Dec 13, 2023

Hamas’ Brutal Assault

The events that transpired on the 7th of October, 2023, in the southern city of Sderot, Israel, have left an indelible mark of horror and sorrow. The footage captured during the Hamas assault on civilians paints a grim picture of what can only be described as war crimes against humanity. Raw footage of the attacks can be viewed on the website in this link (click here).

The images that have emerged depict scenes of unimaginable violence – civilians shot dead at bus stops, on roads, and in their cars. These were not combatants engaged in a conflict but ordinary people going about their daily lives.

Mothers, older women, and children were not spared from the horrors of abduction, as they were forcibly taken captive in Gaza. The sight of a woman, bleeding and terrified, being removed from a vehicle in Gaza or another woman stripped down to her underwear and lying face down in a truck wasn’t a good sight to behold.

Showcasing Death And Despair

The rising death toll is a testament to the scale of this surprise onslaught. Hamas militants managed to infiltrate several communities, perpetrating acts of violence that no words can adequately describe.

Among the victims captured on video were a mother, father, son, and daughter, who poured out their grief in heart-wrenching cries after losing their young daughter in the terror assault. Noa Argamani, a young woman, became another symbol of this brutality as she was forcibly taken into Gaza by two terrorists on a motorbike.

In her desperate attempt, she reached out for her boyfriend, who was similarly marched into captivity. The brutality continued as the lifeless body of a dead soldier was mutilated in a dehumanizing act.

The video depicting a woman, identified as Shani Louk, stripped down to her underwear is a reminder of these terrorists’ utter disregard for human dignity. As Hamas operatives celebrated and cheered around her contorted body, Palestinians surrounding the truck shouted “Allahu Akbar.”

At the same time, two of the men spat on her. Another harrowing video posted by Israel’s Foreign Ministry showed a red-haired woman being forcefully pulled out of a jeep by terrorist operatives, her hair serving as a brutal tether.

The seat of her pants was stained red, a horrifying testament to the violence she endured. Children were not spared from this nightmare. In one video, some young boys were forcibly abducted, their innocence torn from them in an instant.

Older people were also subjected to the terror of kidnapping by armed militants and forcibly taken to Gaza.

Calls For Accountability And Action

The actions of Hamas during this assault are unequivocal war crimes. The intent behind the seemingly high number of women being kidnapped remains uncertain at this stage.

However, it is a testament to the ever-pressing need for testimonies to be collected and investigations to be pursued. Hence, the international community must not remain silent in the face of such atrocities.

The Palestinian Authority’s acceptance of the International Criminal Court’s jurisdiction in 2015 means that these crimes should be prosecuted. The ICC’s investigation into this matter is imperative for justice and accountability.

Amid this darkness, Dr. Eyal Pinko’s call for Israel to file war crimes claims at the ICC resonates strongly. It is an essential step towards seeking justice for the victims.

The policy of external financial support for Gaza, mainly from Qatar, raises questions about the unintended consequences of such assistance, potentially aiding groups like Hamas in their acts of terror. As the world fights with the aftermath of this horrifying assault, it must stand united in condemning these acts and demanding justice for the victims.
