IDF Says Five Operations Targeted Terror Networks in Judea and Samaria

Judea and Samaria Disclaimer

The IDF said on October 16 that it had completed five brigade operations in Judea and Samaria over the preceding two weeks, arresting wanted suspects and seizing weapons and money it linked to terrorism.

The military account covered a series of operations rather than a single raid. It described searches at thousands of locations, dozens of arrests and the confiscation of drones and pistols, alongside an effort to remove material that the army said encouraged terrorist attacks.

Arrests and searches over two weeks

Walla and Haredim 10 published the IDF statement on October 16. The army described dozens of operational activities carried out within the Judea and Samaria Division's area of responsibility. Its summary also included warning conversations and searches directed at locations associated with terrorist organizations.

The announcement used approximate totals. It referred to dozens of wanted people and thousands of search targets, without assigning an individual outcome to each of the five brigade operations. An arrest remains a step in an investigation and does not establish that a suspect has been convicted.

Weapons and financing

The seized equipment included pistols and drones. The IDF also reported confiscating hundreds of thousands of shekels that it characterized as terrorist funds. That description is the military's attribution of the money, rather than a published court finding about its ownership or intended use.

The combination of weapons, equipment and financing in the operational summary shows the categories of material the forces were seeking. The announcement did not provide a separate inventory for every location. Israel News Pulse could not independently find information about the final charges or judicial outcomes relating to the arrests described in this summary.

Memorials and signs removed

The IDF said troops also destroyed dozens of memorials and signs that commemorated terrorists and encouraged terrorism. It presented that work as a focused effort against incitement, carried out alongside the arrests and seizures.

The army linked the targeted locations to organizations that it said promoted terrorism and support for the October 7 attack. The statement described the military's reasons for selecting those sites; it did not identify every sign or provide a complete public list of the locations involved.

The operational period matters here. The totals describe activity over approximately two weeks before the October 16 announcement, not everything seized or every person arrested on that date alone.

A divisionwide operational summary

The five operations were conducted at brigade level within the wider divisional framework. The figures were presented collectively, so the number of operations should not be read as the number of villages, individual raids or separate investigations.

The IDF said its continuing objective was to disrupt terrorism and incitement and protect people in the area and elsewhere in Israel. In the equipment list accompanying the summary, drones appeared alongside pistols, while the financial seizures were recorded separately in shekels.
