Khamenei Warns of Response Without Geographic Limits, Orders Target Lists Updated

Mojtaba Khamenei has ordered commanders to update American and Israeli target lists and prepare immediate responses to threats, while presenting coordination across regional fronts as a route to a new Middle Eastern order.
Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has instructed the armed forces to respond to threats "without any geographical restrictions," warning that Iran would decide when renewed hostilities end if its adversaries resume attacks.
The instructions, published on October 31, paired that warning with an order to update military target lists covering American and Israeli assets. Reuters and AFP reported that the statement appeared on his official Telegram account, while Iranian news agencies described a meeting with senior military commanders.
American and Israeli assets in the target database
Khamenei directed commanders to update their planning to bring physical and other American and Israeli assets within reach of Iranian forces.
His warning also addressed the duration of any renewed confrontation. If Iran's adversaries restart military attacks or actions he described as terrorism, he said, Iranian forces and the Iranian people would determine the timing and conditions for ending them.
Military preparations extend from Hormuz to the borders
According to Nour News, the meeting included armed forces chief of staff Ali Abdollahi, army commander Amir Hatami and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Ahmad Vahidi.
Their briefings covered readiness along the Persian Gulf coast, the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman, as well as Iran's northwestern and southeastern borders.
Commanders also reported a severalfold increase in production of ammunition and reconnaissance, support and combat weapons.
Khamenei's instructions reached beyond weapons production. He called for stronger military intelligence, further development of domestic defense doctrine and tactics, and greater use of modern technology. He also emphasized support for personnel and their living needs, placing the upkeep of the forces alongside their combat preparations.
Regional fronts tied to a broader ambition
Khamenei described military readiness as essential to "maximum deterrence." He then linked that objective to coordination among forces Tehran calls the resistance front.
Praising their activities in different countries, he portrayed cooperation across regional theaters as a decisive factor in shaping a new political and security order in the Middle East.
That ambition carried an explicitly ideological goal. Khamenei said he hoped the emerging order would bring Muslim countries and governments closer together and help build a "new Islamic civilization."
Diplomatic contacts continue alongside the warnings
The military message came as regional mediators pursued efforts to prevent renewed fighting. A Qatari delegation arrived in Tehran on October 30 for talks with senior Iranian officials, Reuters and AFP reported.
Iranian army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia separately warned that another American attack would spread the conflict across a wider geographical area.
