Fatal Attack at French Educational Institution
Tragedy struck the educational community in France once more when a teacher lost their life in a brutal terror attack at a learning institution, with two additional individuals sustaining grave injuries, authorities confirmed.
The horrifying incident occurred at Gambetta high school located in Arras, a city in northern France, around 11:00 local time, as stated by Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin.
Law enforcement agencies successfully apprehended the assailant, who is now under strict confinement. Eyewitness accounts revealed that the assailant vociferously exclaimed “Allahu Akbar”, translating to “God is greatest”, in the midst of the violent incident.

The Terrorist, 18 Year Old Abdullakh Anzorov, a Chechen Muslim
The victim, who imparted knowledge in the French language, met a tragic end, while another educator and a security personnel are among the injured. The assailant, a male in his 20s of Chechen descent, was previously flagged by security agencies due to his affiliations with extremist ideologies, police revealed.
The tragic event echoes the haunting memory of the appalling murder and decapitation of Samuel Paty, another educator, which occurred outside a Parisian school nearly three years prior. In that incident, law enforcement neutralized the 18-year-old assailant, Abdullakh Anzorov, a Muslim refugee of Russian origin.
Reports circulated in the media landscape indicate the arrested individual was once a student at the very institution where the attack transpired. French authorities have intensified their investigation into this act of violence, branded as “attempted murder associated with a terrorist act.”
